Online Donations

As another year comes to end and we begin a new chapter, we wish to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has pledged through our online donation facility in 2024. The past year has seen thousands of donations, collecting £129,939 for charitable causes in that time, an increase of £11,962 on the previous year. Since launching the platform in 2021, over £420,000 has now been raised and donated, including contributions made at funeral services, online and in branch, making a huge difference to those charities.

In the past year, more than 400 donations were made to St Barnabas Hospice Lincolnshire, raising nearly £19,000 for that charity alone. Other causes included Cancer Research UK with £10,696 donated, the British Heart Foundation with £8,132 donated, the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance with £7,835 donated, and Macmillan Cancer Support with £7,105 donated. Contributions have supported a wide range of charities and causes this year, including local foundations, welfare groups, and mental health charities, all specifically chosen by a loved one, or a family member in their memory.

Provided in partnership with Much Loved, this donation facility has transformed how those bereaved interact with our website, allowing mourners, extended family and friends to leave their messages of condolence, light a candle, share tributes and make a donation in their loved one's memory. It's a platform that we will continue to expand in the years ahead, as we strive to further support and provide comfort to our families in their time of need, our family caring for yours.
