Horse Funerals

Horse Drawn Funerals

A horse drawn carriage is one of the many options we can provide to our families for funeral transport. Offering stately elegance and a sense of gravitas proceeding before the funeral cortege, hearse carriages are available in multiple colours, with horses in plumes and full regalia, providing a beautiful and serene experience with great respect and dignity. Our carriage master, Karen Bassett, is a leading international horse team driver with decades of experience, recently appearing as stunt double for actor Suranne Jones in BBC historical drama Gentleman Jack, episode 2 of season 2 airing later tonight. Photographed below, Karen can be seen during filming, and at a recent funeral driving a carriage to Gainsborough’s Parish Church.
