Funeral Plan Assurance

A pre-paid funeral plan is an easy and thoughtful way to plan ahead, saving your the family worry and expense, and helping to make things easier for your loved ones when the time comes. As our families often tell us, that can take a huge weight off your mind. Taking a decision now to plan for your funeral, covering the cost of our services at today's prices, allows you to remove potential anguish for your family and get on with living your life to the full, without having to worry about what happens afterwards. It’s a personal decision, but one more and more are deciding to take.

But how does it work? What assurances do you have that your funds are safe? Funeral plans with us are secured and provided by Golden Charter, one of the country’s leading funeral plan providers with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Simply choose your plan, make the arrangements, and when the time comes, one phone call to our team is all that’s needed to activate the plan. We will then take care of everything, carried out in accordance with the wishes expressed in the funeral plan, which helps to relieve your family of the stress and financial worry they may otherwise have had to face.

Owned by independent funeral directors, funds invested into a funeral plan with Golden Charter are paid into a trust, run by an independent Board of Trustees. Trustees are appointed for their skill, experience and ability to reliably safeguard the payments made by our customers into that trust for their plan. They ensure that all future funerals can be paid for, with funds ring-fenced and held securely, to guarantee that funeral director services included in the plan will be delivered at the time they are required. The trust is one of the largest and most transparent trusts in the sector.

From July this year, funeral plans will be formally regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, a change which is welcomed by Golden Charter and the team here at Cliff Bradley & Sons. We see this increased regulation and supervision as a positive step forward in the market, one which serves to better protect families, not just with us, but nationwide. Until the market becomes formally regulated, protection for our families will continue to be provided by the Funeral Planning Authority. Golden Charter were a founding member of the FPA, so you can be assured that all plans will remain protected until the market moves under the supervision of the FCA later in the year.

Secured and fully protected, you can find out more about our funeral plans, the options available and the benefits of taking out a plan on our planning page. Should you have any questions, something isn’t clear, or you would like to know more, please contact our helpful and friendly team today, who are always on hand to help.
