Upcoming Changes

With the upcoming easing of restrictions, set to change nationwide from Monday 19th July, we would like to assure our families of the continued steps that our team are taking to keep those in our care protected. Despite no longer being regulation, we will continue to wear face masks indoors during consultations and in our attendance at funerals, with staff taking regular lateral flow tests at least twice a week. For further peace of mind, all members of our team have been fully vaccinated for a number of months.

Mourners attending funeral services and graveside committals will no longer be limited in number from Monday, but most facilities nearby will still have provision for those who wish to stay outside, or watch online from afar. Lea Fields Crematorium will have external canopy speakers for outside mourners, and webcasting will still be available for those who cannot attend. Singing is now permitted inside, as are instruments, although hymn books will not be in use at the current time.

Through the coming weeks and months we will continue to review and adapt our procedures based on the recommendations and regulations at that time, and how we feel we can best protect the wellbeing of our families, those who entrust us to keep them safe in their time of need.
