We like to keep in touch with the local community. As family-run funeral directors for over 50 years, we have dedicated our lives to guiding people through the difficult times of bereavement. Like our Facebook page and read our latest news below.
Maintaining the highest level of quality care, we promise to be caring professionals who look after you. Further supporting this commitment, our staff recently completed a refresher course in basic life support and defibrillator use, kindly provided by LIVES. Cardiac arrest is one of the country's biggest killers, and yet statistics show that most of the British public are unaware of the life-saving difference they can make by performing CPR and defibrillation.
Christmas can be a difficult time of year if you’ve lost a loved one. Whilst most people are joyous and celebrating the occasion, we recognise that many people are struggling, reminiscing about times gone by, and remembering those that they have lost. For this reason, during December we will be hosting our annual memorial tree, giving you the opportunity to remember in your own special way.
Earlier in the year, we sent Stuart and Edward to Rockingham Castle to gain some experience and perfect their skills in off road driving. Heavy snow brought massive disruption to the area in March, with the military drafted in to help cut-off communities and clear metre-high drifts. During that time we held a funeral for a lady, whose grandson had flown into the country especially from Canada.
Dedicated to making sure you honour your loved one in a respectful, dignified and personal way, we can help you to arrange a memorial service at many local venues, at places both traditional and more unusual. Here are some photos from a recent memorial service we arranged at Hemswell Court, an elegant country house surrounded by tranquil gardens, a short journey from Gainsborough.
As premier sponsors of Beckingham Bowls Club, we recently presented trophies and cash prizes at an open pairs bowls tournament in Beckingham, marking the 70th anniversary of their club. 56 bowlers from Gainsborough and the surrounding areas competed in a fierce battle from 10am to 6pm, with food and refreshments kindly prepared by club members and their partners.
Following two years of hard work, study and coursework, Edd successfully completed the numerous courses and has achieved the Independent Funeral Directors College’s Certificate in Funeral Practice. The modules of this qualification cover every aspect of the profession, from health and safety, vehicle preparation and care of the deceased, to the much more knowledge-heavy funeral arranging.
At Cliff Bradley & Sons we understand that after the funeral is the beginning of your future journey. We want to continue to support you as you embark upon this journey, and are therefore very proud to announce that we are partners with SAIF Care. As part of this scheme, family members who are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a loved one will be offered free bereavement support.
Here's Edd and Olly photographed holding a certificate from the NAFD following a recent premises inspection held at our funeral home. A requirement for all members of the association, NAFD members must provide adequate premises to enable them to properly conduct their business, and uphold the highest professional standards at all times. Cliff Bradley & Sons are proud to be members of the NAFD, always ensuring that bereaved families receive the advice and support they need and deserve.
Over the past few weeks our facilities team has been busy renovating and refreshing the gardens, pond and surrounding areas at our funeral home in Gainsborough. In times of bereavement and sadness, these quiet and peaceful surroundings can help people to relax, offering comfort and solace in their time of need. You can see some photos of our refreshed gardens below.
The Bradley family and all at Cliff Bradley & Sons wish to offer their sympathies during the holiday period to all families they have served during the past year.
